St George Children’s Museum

It's finally open! The long-awaited and greatly anticipated St George Children's Museum! It's even more awesome than I expected. And it's FREE! Hours are Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6pm, Mondays are open to members only. "As a gift to the community, there will be no charge for entrance to the Children’s Museum at the present time. Las Vegas Discovery Children’s Museum

To celebrate Thing 1's birthday this month we decided to check out the new children's museum in Las Vegas.  My kids LOVED it. The Las Vegas Discovery Children's Museum opened in March of this year. Sept- May the museum is open Tuesday through Sunday. June- Labor Day, they open later, but are open on Mondays as well. The museum is closed for the 5 major holidays. What I’ve Been Up to: May 2013

What I've been up to: Worked on my grad school application. Ran the Dino Half Marathon and the Community Action 10K Injured my foot a few days after said half marathon and was pretty crippled for a solid week My kids finished school for the year. Hooray! Visited family :D While we were visiting my MIL, she started 'fostering' five puppies. This was a lot of fun for the kids. Utah Field House of Natural History State Park Museum & Dinosaur Garden

Last week we met some extended family in Vernal to run the Dino Half Marathon. While we were there we felt it was imperative to check out some dinosaurs at the Utah Field House of Natural History State Park Museum and Dinosaur Garden. My kids loved it and if we were in the area I think we would go again (although I don't think I would drive seven hours again just for this). Admission is $6 for 12 and up, and $3 for 6-12. Clark Planetarium and Giveaway

While we were visiting the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum, we also stopped by the Clark Planetarium. Admission to the Planetarium itself, is free for all ages. The Planetarium includes 19 interactive exhibits and depending on how curious your children are you can probably get through them in 45 minutes to an hour. Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum

Last week we were in northern Utah with our kids and thought we try out the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum. This children's museum is located in the Gateway Mall. Hours are from 10 am- 6 pm Monday-Thursday and 10 am- 8 pm Friday- Saturday. Admission is $8.50 for adults and children over age 1. Discounts for groups available. Family Fun in Las Vegas Part 3: Mandalay Bay Shark Reef Aquarium

 I love aquariums. I find them fascinating and relaxing. So of course we had to stop at the one in Las Vegas. The Shark Reef Aquarium is located inside the Mandalay Bay Hotel. The hours are 10:00AM - 8:00PM Sunday through Thursday and 10:00AM - 10:00PM Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $18 for adults and $12 for children over 4. Across the street from The Las Vegas Museum of Natural History is The Lied Discovery Children's Museum. (It's located in the same building as the public library.) Last weekend we took the kids to Vegas. Our first stop was the Las Vegas Museum of Natural History. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for students $5 for children 3-11. Hours are from 9 am to 4pm. Chicago- Part 2: The Field Museum of Natural History

The Field Museum of Natural History The Field Museum was our second stop on our trip to Chicago was the Field Museum. I didn't plan on spending as much time there because a family member who had been there told me that they didn't think my children would like it. That was a mistake.
