If you’re looking for a great place to take the family on vacation, especially over the holidays, consider Las Vegas. Despite the city’s reputation as Sin City, Las Vegas has plenty of fun activities the entire family can enjoy. As an added bonus, travel to Vegas tends to be less expensive than elsewhere because businesses know that most travelers plan on spending plenty at the city’s casinos and clubs. Check out these five fun family activities to do in Vegas:

1. Wild Rides at Circus Circus
Inside Circus Circus, families who love roller coasters and other thrills will have a ball. The five-acre Adventuredome is an indoor-theme park with something for everyone. Several world-famous rides inside include the world’s only indoor double-loop, double-corkscrew roller coaster. The video arcade provides different types of
thrills. Available rock climbing adventures take your experience to new heights.

2. Chill Holiday Treats
If seasonal hot cocoa seems a bit warm for your Las Vegas adventure, try something cooler. At Serendipity 3, you and the kids can sip frozen hot chocolate. Be careful not to get brain freeze! Enjoy this and other funky foods here. The restaurant is an offshoot of the NYC original. I’m sure you’ll love it every bit as much.

3. Cowboys and Trail Rides
A few miles of the main drag in Vegas, you can go western in style. At Red Rock Ranch, the entire family can join in a horseback riding adventure. Canyon rides, barbecue outings and other packages are available. The ranch is located within Red Rock Canyon National Preserve. For your safety, a staff of professional wranglers serve as guides.
4. The Vegas Lights Holiday Style
Las Vegas is always lit up like a Christmas tree. During the holidays, however, special attractions await. Take the family on an outing to see the holiday light displays at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. For extra fun, sponsor one of the light displays. The holiday showcase opens November 15th and will remain open until January.

5. Buzz the Grand Canyon
You might not literally get to buzz the Grand Canyon during your trip to Las Vegas. The stunning vistas aren’t far, however. I’d definitely recommend hiring a helicopter ride to see the sights from the air. These flights are now common enough that the cost is affordable. If you can’t hire a chopper, take the time to drive to the Grand Canyon and see the sights from the ground. It’s an experience no one in your family will ever forget.

Adventures in Las Vegas for the entire family are readily available and easy to afford. This is a family outing you shouldn’t miss. Taking the trip during the holidays provides extra fun when you mix the desert heat with traditional holiday activities. I hope you have fun planning your trip.
