Food Storage & Other Adventures in Motherhood

New Year’s Resolutions

by heather

I decided I would post these publicly, because if I tell people about them, I will feel more of an obligation to be honest and do what I said I was going to do.

  1. Read 12 chapter books with Thing 1. And then have activities to go with them. Like watching the Harry Potter movies after reading each one.
  2. Find 12 books that interest Thing 2 and read them with him. He can read, but he’s not super interested in the activity, I hope to change that.
  3. Potty train Cindy Lou Who. She has shown some sporadic interest, but I think if I am more consistent I can make this happen.
  4. Replace my carpets, but not until after the potty-training is complete.
  5. Get into grad school and whatever that entails, applying for grad school, possibly moving to said grad school, taking classes as a ‘non-degree seeking student’, etc.
  6. Rotate more of my food storage and thereby save money on groceries.
  7. Run a marathon
  8. Every week I am going to get rid of something in my house that I no longer need and put it to good use. Recycle it, sell it or give it away.
  9. Go on a fun family vacation with educational stops along the way.
  10. Plan and execute an awesome trip with my hubby for our anniversary this year.
